Dear Readers,
It is with great pleasure that I present to you our latest magazine article series titled The Issue where we write about the issues at heart issues that press the People of the Global South in this article titled "We Are 400 million". We talk about African Youth This article delves into the challenges facing Africa's youth, who represent a staggering 400 million individuals. Many of these young people find themselves unemployed, lacking the necessary skills to participate in the economy, and struggling to access educational opportunities.
While this situation may seem bleak, we must not lose sight of the potential that lies within this vast youth population. Africa's young people are creative, innovative, and passionate about building a better future for themselves and their communities. With the right support and opportunities, they can drive economic growth, foster social progress, and embrace the digital revolution.
As Orbit 22 publications, we believe that it is our responsibility to shine a spotlight on these critical issues and advocate for meaningful change. We must work to create policies and strategies that prioritize the needs of Africa's youth, providing them with access to education, training, and job opportunities.
We must also recognize the critical role that young people can play in shaping the future of our continent. By empowering them to become leaders, innovators, and change-makers, we can build a more prosperous, peaceful, and sustainable Africa for generations to come.
So let us join together to support Africa's 400 million young people. Let us invest in their potential, celebrate their achievements, and work together to build a brighter future for all. The time for action is now, and we must not let this opportunity slip away.
Sincerely,
Tumusiime Edgar
